We recommend using Outlook for your mobile device for the most consistent user experience, however other mail apps are available to you.
When prompted, always select Work or school account for the purpose of these guides. The subscription is provisioned through your work account and will not have the same licenses available if you select your Personal account. If you aren’t prompted, then a Personal account doesn’t exist with that email address.
See this link for the explanation from Microsoft. It references OneDrive, but applies to their entire Microsoft 365 platform.
